What is the policy regarding prescription and over the counter drugs?
- All prescription and non-prescription medications are cleared through our Addictions Physician and are distributed by staff.
- Any medications brought in by clients must be given to staff immediately upon arrival at the Centre.
- Clients are responsible covering the cost for any of any medications.

Can I bring my car?
- No cars are allowed at InnerVisions.

Do I have to know how to read and write English?
- No, but it is helpful because there is some reading and writing required. Some of our clients in the past could not read or write, but found by asking others for help and by using the available audio tapes
they were able to participate fully in the program.
- InnerVisions will attempt to meet any specialized ethnic and cultural needs that may arise. Program literature is available in many different languages. Our service is delivered at a primary level, and Program specific dictionaries are available

Can I come if I have a physical disability?
- Every effort will be made to facilitate the needs of the physically handicapped. Physically challenged individuals will be informed, prior to intake, of any current building / construction limitations which may limit their access to obtain services at InnerVisions. In such cases, a referral to another suitable agency will be made.

Do I need spending money?
- Some money is necessary for doing laundry, accessing the local recreation facilities, and purchasing such items as toiletries, snacks, or cigarettes.
- Laundry Tokens: $1.00 for both washer and dryer
- Leisure Centre Passes - $2.00 each

What recreational facilities are available?
- All residents participate in a daily morning walk. We do have some weight and exercise equipment at each site, and local leisure centres provide us with discount passes
- Recreation is important to a healthy lifestyle. The program includes
periods of afternoon and weekend free time. During these times you may
work out on our exercise equipment, visit a local Leisure Centre, read, or
engage in a hobby or craft.

Can I make phone calls or send letters?
- Personal calls are not permitted until a client has completed a Step 5 (this takes roughly 35 days), however we encourage clients to write letters - they are very therapeutic.

What personal items should I bring?
- Comfortable indoor/outdoor clothing and shoes, suitable toiletries, an alarm clock, a swimsuit for those who wish to use local leisure centres during free time, weather appropriate outdoor wear (i.e. umbrella, warm coat, hat, etc.).
- Please do not bring boom boxes, laptop computers, or any clothing that advertises alcohol and/or drugs, sexist, racist or other prejudicial material.
