Email: callcentre@innervisionsrecovery.com The Call Centre and InnerVisions staff are not responsible to facilitate interaction between clients in treatment and their families and/or friends. The first 35 days of our program are specifically designed for clients to be properly and totally immersed in their recovery efforts. During this time, writing is encouraged as a form of communication as it has proven to be effective in therapy. After 35 days, clients are permitted to make and receive phone calls to interact with friends and family during designated times; these calls are solely the responsibility of the client. There is a zero tolerance policy for the use of the Call Centre or InnerVisions staff as message delivery agents. Top of page What does the Program cost? Fee Structure * Private beds are available - The cost is $200.00 a day. * Payment plans available, we only accept certified cheques or Visa. * Fraser Health and government beds may be available for those who qualify. Top of page What is your Refund Policy? In the event a client chooses to, or is required to leave, the Program prior to completion, there will be a two-week penalty imposed. It is important to consider the consequence of not complying with our Program before admittance. We are highly motivated to help those who want our help. All refund discussions will be kept strictly confidential between the client and the Centre. Although we understand that sometimes family members may provide funding for a relative in Treatment, when a client attends our Centre the contract is between them and us. Location We are located in the Greater Vancouver area. Top of page Staff Qualifications and Accreditation The program is operated by a committed group of individuals who themselves have had similar experiences on their path to recovery and share their experience and training to facilitate others suffering from the disease of addiction. All staff have gone on to realize academic achievements in the field of substance abuse, counselling, and social services. Top of page What is the InnerVisions Treatment Centre? Our Treatment Program provides a solid foundation in recovery for those best served by a temporary absence from their present stressful environment, and require a total immersion in a Treatment setting. Our Program supports clients to realize: Abstinence from substance use; Improved physical and psychological health; Improved family and social functioning; Improved educational/vocational functioning; Reduced involvement with the criminal justice system; Improved housing conditions; Increased utilization of community outpatient resources. Objectives: Introduction to the Twelve Step Model of Recovery Recognition and acceptance of alcoholism and/or addiction Development of coping mechanism (relapse prevention) Obtain and maintain a healthy lifestyle free from alcohol and drugs Realization of employment/educational goals The opportunity to build a support network conducive to successful recovery Activities: Individualized Treatment Plan Group therapy Video and oral presentations Written and reading assignments Medical support from a team of addiction physicians A.A and N.A. meetings Step guides, re-establishment of contact with family Top of page What model of treatment is used? InnerVisions program is based on total abstinence from all mood-altering substances. Our program encompasses a 12 Step Model, along with the bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach. We also emphasize environmental structure (employment/education, family reconnection, community involvement, etc.). Top of page What is the program like? InnerVisions is a safe, structured, organized environment created and operated by people who themselves have conquered their demons of addiction from alcohol and drugs; all staff are in recovery themselves. We openly admit our Program is highly structured, and when a person is coming into InnerVisions they need to know we are rigorous to the application of our program standards. We also know that if you have a problem with alcohol and drugs, we have a proven solution: you can RECOVER! While our facilities are basic in nature, we maintain a high level of hygiene, warmth, and safety. This is not only our opinion, but has been acknowledged by our accrediting and licensing bodies. What makes us complete standouts in Canada is our phenomenal tapestry of talented staff who are equipped with exceptional skill sets; staff speak from their own experience about the despair of addiction as well as the miracle of recovery. If you are a person whose life has become unmanageable and you need some friendly, definite, clear direction to address the disease of addiction, InnerVisions is the place for you. Along with Substance Abuse Treatment, we have access to highly credible Transitional Second-Stage Housing, Employment and Training Programs and a Family Re-integration Program. Top of page Are there any restrictions? Clients will be on telephone and property restrictions until they have completed 35 days of treatment. This means you are not allowed to place or receive personal calls, and you cannot leave the Treatment Centre alone - you must be accompanied by two other clients, or a senior client. Top of page Am I allowed visits? Following the restriction period, clients will be allowed to present a plan for social visits and arrange to see their families. Visiting is encouraged off the treatment site, but upon request, visitors are permitted on the main floor common areas of the facility. Top of page Is there flexibility for vegetarian clients? Although our facility provides a set menu, we have tofu available for meat replacement. Further, there is fruit and bread available for snacks, and salad and vegetables are served with meals Top of page Do I have to do chores? Yes. Part of living in a residential treatment environment is the regular assignment of various duties (chores). These provide skill development to clients and create a sense of responsibility and belonging to the group. Top of page What are the wait times to get in? Wait times vary from immediately to a couple of weeks depending on bedspace availability, and the severity of your circumstances Top of page What is the referral procedure? Medical practitioners, Employee Assistance Workers, community services agencies, family, friends, probation officers, social workers, courts, etc., can make referrals to the facility, but ultimately we need to speak to the prospective client themselves. InnerVisions requires a total personal commitment from its clients. Top of page Do you have a Doctor on site? The Men's and the Women's facilities have access to our Addictions Physician's. They are available onsite for appointments and advice once per week. All clients see the doctor within 7 days of intake. Top of page What is the policy regarding prescription and over the counter drugs? All prescription and non-prescription medications are cleared through our Addictions Physician and are distributed by staff. Any medications brought in by clients must be given to staff immediately upon arrival at the Centre. Clients are responsible covering the cost for any of any medications. Top of page Can I bring my car? No cars are allowed at InnerVisions. Top of page Do I have to know how to read and write English? No, but it is helpful because there is some reading and writing required. Some of our clients in the past could not read or write, but found by asking others for help and by using the available audio tapes they were able to participate fully in the program. InnerVisions will attempt to meet any specialized ethnic and cultural needs that may arise. Program literature is available in many different languages. Our service is delivered at a primary level, and Program specific dictionaries are available Top of page Can I come if I have a physical disability? Every effort will be made to facilitate the needs of the physically handicapped. Physically challenged individuals will be informed, prior to intake, of any current building / construction limitations which may limit their access to obtain services at InnerVisions. In such cases, a referral to another suitable agency will be made. Top of page Do I need spending money? Some money is necessary, however we strongly encourage a minimal amount, and or a debit card, for doing laundry accessing the local recreation facilities, and purchasing such items as toiletries, snacks, or cigarettes. Laundry Tokens: $1.00 for both washer and dryer Leisure Centre Passes - $2.00 each Top of page What recreational facilities are available? All residents participate in a daily morning walk. We do have some weight and exercise equipment at each site, and local leisure centres provide us with discount passes Recreation is important to a healthy lifestyle. The program includes periods of afternoon and weekend free time. During these times you may work out on our exercise equipment, visit a local Leisure Centre, read, or engage in a hobby or craft. Top of page Can I make phone calls or send letters? Personal calls are not permitted until a client has completed a Step 5 (this takes roughly 35 days), however we encourage clients to write letters - they are very therapeutic. Top of page What personal items should I bring? Comfortable indoor/outdoor clothing and shoes, suitable toiletries, an alarm clock, a swimsuit for those who wish to use local leisure centres during free time, weather appropriate outdoor wear (i.e. umbrella, warm coat, hat, etc.). Please do not bring boom boxes, laptop computers, or any clothing that advertises alcohol and/or drugs, sexist, racist or other prejudicial material. Top of page How long are my belongings held at the treatment centre if I leave under adverse conditions? Such conditions include: drug or alcohol use, threatening or violent behavior, theft, not returning to the facility without permission or other violations of InnerVisions policies. InnerVisions is not responsible for your property; however we will allow 7 days for the client to collect their property from the treatment centre before it is disposed of. There are No Exceptions! This must be done during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Top of page
