My name is Brad Clancy, I was born in St Johns NB, and left home at age 16. I started stealing booze from my father at the age of 8, started smoking dope at 16, and then injecting Cocaine at 19. My first jail sentence was handed down to me at age 14 and the path of my life seemed to be laid out before me. The next 45 years became a circle of drugs, crime, prison and anger, with 30 of those years spent behind bars. In winter of 1998, after finishing my last 14-year Penitentiary sentence, I was introduced to Innervisions and a new way of life. I began to see that giving is better than taking. I had spent my whole life taking, and I had nothing to show for it. I went on to complete my GED, I hold certificates in Satir Family Therapy and Conflict Resolution, and am currently completing my Counseling certificate and am one of the Directors for InnerVisions. At this point in my life, I am giving back, and in return I’m getting everything I need.
